This library uses 9, 8' x 4' x 4' ridge skylights through the center of the building for architectural aesthetics as well as superior daylighting. At the time this photo was taken, the light fixtures were still on back order and the library was open for business	Photo controls automatically turn lights on off and adjust light louvers to maintain designed foot candles. The system also incorporates occupancy sensors to provide light when needed to occupied areas.
A California Enery Commision study presents evidence that a chain retailer is experiencing higher sales in daylighted stores than in similar non-daylit stores. Above is a recent Giant Eagle project with 5'x5' Signature Domes.  the lights are not on in this picture, yet foot-candle readings of up to 100 fc's were recorded at the time.
